Suffolk's largest body of inland water, run by Anglian Water as a coarse and predator fishery rather than a trout water. Pike, carp, bream and roach are the mainstay; bream and roach shoals are the volume, pike the reason most specimen anglers come. Bank fishing across a long, open shoreline that the wind works hard — the sheltered bays fish very differently from the exposed banks on the same day. Day and season permits, and under-18s fish free.
