A westerly has held for 10 hours at much the same temperature as the 16°C water. No thermal steer either way, but the drift still stacks food against the eastern end — the bank it is blowing into — so start there. This reads the upper water, though — a bottom bait at range feels it far less than a floater or a fish in the margins. Treat it as a tiebreaker between good swims rather than an override — features and angling pressure usually count for more.
Start with Minkie (6-10) — on the point. Early in the day, nymphs and buzzers fished slowly tend to outperform attractors.
If surface work dries up, try a diawl bach or hare's ear on the point and skate a sedge pattern on the bob at last light.
Evening tends to be the best period in summer — stay late if you can for a sedge or spinner fall.
Bank-only venue. Fish from accessible margins, points, weed edges, and inflows.
