Wade Lake is a deep, spring-fed limestone lake over near the Madison — rich, clear, and almost embarrassingly fertile, which is how it grows wild rainbows and browns to the size it does. It's a Callibaetis, damsel, and midge lake, and a technical one, best fished from a tube or a pram where you can sit quiet and watch. The water's gin-clear, the fish are big and wary, and the difference between a good day and a blank often comes down to fine tippet and not rushing.
