CDC fibres folded into a tent wing over a dubbed body — it lands like thistledown and sits in the film exactly as a spent caddis does. Cast it upstream and let it drift without drag through the evening rise. The CDC traps air bubbles that give it a translucent glow the fish can see from below, and it floats until you drown it deliberately.

Fish this when

Late spring through summer when caddis are emerging and laying eggs. Fish it during the hatch or evening activity.
